Less than 72 Hours to Turn Missouri Blue

12:00 PM Nov 05, 2006

Every election candidates say this may be the most important election year ever.  This year that may turn out to be right.  America is on the wrong track and I believe that has caused a problem for most of the world.  We can regain our national stature by restoring accountability, fiscal responsibility and integrity to Washington.  Here in Missouri you can make a difference.  As goes Missouri so goes the nation.  It’s a cliché but I believe that its true.  Please join us in this effort.

Claire McCaskill will be an agent of change and a strong defender of our nation’s role in the world.  There is still a great need for election day volunteers as the ground game will make the difference in the end.  Sign up today and be a part of history.  Together we can make America proud again.

Congratulations to us all on hiring a great leader!

Congratulations to you Claire on a great success in turning MO blue. And congratulations to Missourians on sending a proven leader to Washington DC. Claire has done amazing things in her many roles. This will be a high hurdle as WDC needs serious help. I've been confident in Claire's leadership and I'm anxious to see what she does to WDC! Let's work hard to keep her in that Senate seat to make the necessary changes in our nations capital.

We appreciate all you had to endure during this very nasty campaign and truly appreciate your willingness to be our voice in WDC. Now go clean up Washington Claire!

Winning Can't Make Us Comfortable

First of all, I would like to congratulate Claire! I feel like Christmas came early today. I admit to not being optimistic about this election; there are too many red signs too close to my house. Today, I am ecstatic.
We have a right to celebrate. And when that is over, we cannot take our responsibility to America lightly. The presidential election is in 2 years; we will have to work hard to earn a victory in that election. We have an amazing opportunity to prove that the Democratic platform is the right one for our country. I will hope every day that we can adequately achieve that goal.
Congratulations to everyone today!

congratulations claire

Uh oh...I better be politically correct "Senator McCaskill. So many people from Missouri and our country have been suffering during this Republican tenure. I am absolutely elated to have the possibility/probability for positive changes for Missourian's. Thank you to all the democrats that worked for this campaign and for a better America. God Bless You.

Congradts McCaskill:

I just wanted to congradts Ms. McCaskill. I voted and supported now former Sen. Talent. The great State of Missouri has spoken. And she has spoken for now U.S. Senator McCaskill. She's my new U.S. Senator. And I am not ashamed to say so, for as I said my State voiced her opinion, and therefore I fallow my state.

YES!

Yeah Claire great campaign! Yeah Missouri!

Hope I made the right choice.

Claire,

Remember me, the cautious voter. I debated over this vote forever. In the past, I have voted republican 75%+ of the time. However, I saw something. I do believe you'll take the responsibility seriously. Don't assume that Missouri wants you to be extreme left. And most certainly, don't be a Hillary rubber-stamper. Respect my moderate vote & I'll be there for you again the next time.

I think it's less than two hours that we will know the results of this election. I have never before seen myself be so involved in an election. I guess it's just me getting older--
Anyway, my support to Claire and her campaign. I see the numbers, but we certainly know that there is still hope to have a senator ON OUR SIDE. I was not happy about Bush being in office a few years ago and I cannot stand him now. I hope the voters realize that the Democrats need to have the POWER!!! Being middle class (with bills out the ying yang) I hope Claire can get in there and make a difference. My support is with you all the way. You go girl!

Election-day wisdom!

Still undecided until the last....second?

Negative hard-sell campaigning will sway undecided voters to Claire McCaskill; especially the voters who are tired of polls that say the MO Senate-race is still too close to call on Election Day!

Showmegirl — 06:14 AM Nov 07, 2006

I have been reading both canidits records. I want to make sure that I make a informed choice, for some reason, This election has become more important to me than any in the past. This is a great web site for Claire. This wasn't published by anyone in the election. Good luck and Good voting. http://www.auditor.mo.gov/

Go Go Go !!!!!!!!!!!Let Make A Change!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheryl — 03:33 PM Nov 06, 2006

I will be voting for McCaskill. Talent has really screwed this state up..... We need someone like her to get it straight, however it will take time, maybe a couple terms, so remember where your loyality lays, and she can't do it alone, remember 2008's election, we need to get Blint out too. And then 2010... We need her in here for awhile!!!!!

Word- of-mouth alone can sway a close Senate race!

Justobservant — 03:33 PM Nov 06, 2006

On the day before the election, where old fashioned word of mouth can collectively sway a close Senate race to McCaskill; as more and more people have tuned-out the media/campaigning chaos. Blogs only sway a tiny number of voters.

* Word of mouth is whats worth repeating, again and again for the first time!

* For levity: Why does anybody still want a (GOP) elephant in their living rooms?

What really matters

mikewalgren — 11:56 AM Nov 06, 2006

I think in this election what really matters has already been shown. We have shown the world that Missouri is not a clear Republican stat. The underlying effects of this campaign will be seen for years. I think that by showing Jim Talent and the rest of the Bush republicans that Democrats do have a voice is much more important than winning. You have to remember your old baseball coach saying, "It's not winning or losing, it's how you play the game" and in this case I think we (the democrats) played a much cleaner game than the GOP which aired obviously fraudulent ad's. I say "Thank You" Claire McCaskill for putting Jim Talent and the Bush republicans back in their place. Keep up the good work, never stop fighting for what you believe in.
